CITY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
ABOUT THE SERVICE

The City Scholarship Program provides scholarships to deserving but less- privileged high school graduates who want to pursue college education. This program is in partnership with local private run schools and state universities. Those who would like to avail of the program may apply through the City Scholarship coordinator inside the City Mayor’s Office. Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Is a Filipino citizen and resident of the City of Masbate
  • Has a general average of not lower than 89% and with no failing grade in any subject
  • Has passed the entrance examination given by the City of Masbate thru its Scholarship Coordinator
  • Must not be a recipient of any scholarship grant, public or private.
Note:
Honor students (valedictorian, salutatorian and first honourable mention) of public high school within the City are automatic scholars of the City of Masbate.
CLIENT GROUPS

Less privilege students whose annual family income does not exceed P50,000.00

REQUIREMENTS
  • Letter of Application
  • Form 138 (Report Card) with general average of 89%
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • BIR Clearance
  • Barangay certification that the applicant is a resident of the said barangay and that he/she is of good moral character.
  • Pass the City of Masbate pre-qualifying entrance test
  • Personal Data Sheet (PDS)

MASBATE CITY FISH COMPLEX

I. APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF COMMERCIAL STALLS

 
ABOUT THE SERVICE

The Office of the Mayor, through the Masbate City Fish Complex answers queries by any interested individual on the commercial stalls for leasing and approve the application of the interested person.

CLIENT GROUP

Businessmen, PUV operators, vendors and the general public.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Business License
  • Mayor’s Permit
  • Franchise to operate (PUV operators)
  • If the stall to be leased has arreages, new applicant must settle previous lesses’s outstanding balance

8:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-5:00pm
PROCESS OF AVAILING THE SERVICE:

1.Proceed to the Office of the Complex Administrator and inquire if there are vacant stalls at the Carenderia and Commercial Stall Answer queries on the availability of stalls. If available, briefs client on the requirements 5 minutes Complex Administrator

II. SUPERVISION OF INTEGRATED BUS AND JEEPNEY TERMINAL

 
ABOUT THE SERVICE

The Office of the Mayor, through the Masbate City Fish Complex supervises the operations of the Integrated Bus and Jeepney Terminal as the sole and exclusive loading and unloading area of all PUV’s.

ABOUT THE SERVICE

The Office of the Mayor, through the Masbate City Fish Complex supervises the operations of the City Ice Plant, Cold storage, refrigeration and Blast Freezer facilitation. It caters to the need of blocks and refrigeration of perishable products.
